Dahlia Cuttings Sales

When is the dahlia cuttings presale? Cuttings presale will go live Friday, 19th of June at 6:00 pm.

When will my order be shipped? We'll start shipping out your green babies from the end of October. They're sent via Express Post on Mondays only, just to make absolutely sure they don't get stuck sitting in a dark sorting facility over the weekend. We want them arriving on your doorstep quickly and looking happy.

Do you deliver to my state? We ship to most places, but due to those strict biosecurity rules, we cannot deliver to WA, NT, or TAS. Everyone else, you're good to go!

Can I pick up my order instead? You sure can. If you're local or fancy a drive, you can opt to collect your cuttings directly from Ferntree Gully on Sunday the 1st of November 2026.

Can I just plant the cutting straight into the garden? Yes, you can! Just make sure the risk of frost has passed in your area and the soil has warmed up a bit. Give them a little protection from the scorching afternoon sun and the local slug population while they establish.

Will these cuttings make tubers at the end of the season? They absolutely will. By the time autumn rolls around and the plant starts to die back, you'll find a nice clump of tubers waiting for you under the soil, ready to be dug up or left to sleep for next year.

What do I do when my cuttings arrive? Pop them out of the box straight away and give them a light drink. It's best to keep them in a sheltered, bright spot out of direct sunlight for a day or two just to let them recover from their travel before planting them out.

Why are some varieties limited to one per customer? Some of the rare or highly sought-after varieties only produce a tiny amount of material for cuttings each season. To keep things fair and help as many gardeners as possible get their hands on a dream cultivar, we put a limit on a few specific lines.

What if a variety sells out while it's in my cart? Ah, the classic cart-snatch. Unfortunately, holding an item in your shopping cart doesn't secure it. It's only yours once the checkout process is completely finished, so if there's a rare variety you're desperate for, it pays to be quick.

Do you offer refunds or cancellations? Because we're dealing with live plants and very limited stock, all sales are generally final. If something goes wrong in transit or there's a major issue when you open the box, please get in touch with us with a photo within 24 hours of delivery so we can sort it out for you.

What happens if my plant arrives damaged? We pack our cuttings with an absolute massive amount of love and care, but sometimes the posties can be a bit rough. If your plant arrives looking worse for wear, take a quick photo and send it through to us immediately. We want you to have a successful season, so we'll always do our best to help.
